Today, the temporary closure of Boracay island has started. The news about its closure (for 6 months)has been the talk of the town and it partly saddened me, for I was actually planning to go on a solo trip there, nevertheless I fully understood the government’s purpose although it will surely affect the island’s businesses but I am more excited for a clean island again.🙏🏼
I have seen how Boracay has progressed..The drastic changes definitely affect this paradise. This island has witnessed important memories of my life.
👉🏼My fist flight!!! ✈️
Indeed. Boracay was my first travel destination outside Cebu way back 2009. I stayed in Station 3 ( Crown Regency ).If I could recall, there were only few hotels, few shops, and D Mall, no Mc Donald’s and not a very lively night life. Not to mention, that trip made me realize how wonderful it is to travel . ☺️
👉🏼 A SUMMER with Amore 👫
Yes, I brought my man to this island during his second visit. [ I really daydreamed of coming to Boracay with my man or family]. My second time then, I was quite surprised when I got off from the hotel shuttle, totally different the first time I visited. It was March, definitely summer, tourists flocked around the island. We stayed in Red Coconut Resort in Station 2. The location is perfect for a day plunge or a chill at night.
I swam with green algae floating around me, but I didn’t mind that at all. I missed the powdery white sand, and the gorgeous sunset. I loved how the crowd got along well with one another. Several choices of restaurants can be found in D’Mall.
👉🏼 FAMILY VACATION 👩👩👧👧🧓🏼👩🏻👩🏻👩🏻👧🏻
Another dream came true!! My third visit was with my Mom, two siblings and niece. My dad doesn’t really like leaving his pets (roosters, pigs and goats 😂 ) This time, we stayed in an apartment (booked through AIRBNB). It wasn’t peak season because it was around the end of August to first week of September, but still there were a lot of tourist on the island. A lot of construction going on.
The Algae situation was the same. When I saw Bulabog Beach, it was totally the opposite of white beach in Station 1. Bulabog beach is where you can find a lot of deals of most of the water activities.
I am really hoping for a better Boracay. I hope we, people will also do our part, not only in Boracay but wherever we go.
