WPC: ย Delta

Photo was taken 2012,my first time in Bohol..

Does the photo looks familiar?  Yes!  You are right. Probably  many of you have seen this wonderful  creation and for those who still don’t know about this place, let me introduce  THE CHOCOLATE HILLS in BOHOL.The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. They look like giant mole hills, or some say they are like HERSHEY’S KISSES. ๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿซ

This week’s theme is Delta,so this is a perfect interpretation of transition or change in time. I have chosen to share this place due to the fact that I have visited here three times. Of those three times, I’ve seen how these hills changes from  hills totally covered with green lush of grass and trees.

During summer months where the weather in my country is so perfect  for sight seeing, the hills turned from green to brown.

Have you seen the chocolate hills, what was your impression?

WPC : TRANSIENT ๐Ÿ‘€ ๐Ÿกย

 Transient

I have witnessed this transient natural occurrence in a seafood restaurant in Krabi town.

The photo shows a puffer fish/ blowfish ๐Ÿก  in it’s full puff up state. When being triggered, in danger or when they are threatened, they can take in so much air inside their stomachs that they bloat and turn into large, perfect balls. This makes them look harder to eat. Also, some puffer fish have spines and when they puff up, these spines stick out like needles.

I’ve seen how it deflates  beautifully , doing continuous turns while their body was slowly going back to its regular size.

In a world full of chaos, remember  that some things are transient.For some reasons, they appear or can happen in a blink of an eye and it is during tough situations that we need to be strong. “Survival of the fittest “ as they say.

Italian ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น & ย Filipina ย ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญRelationshipย

Da Pisa con Amore โค๏ธ

I have been mentioning  and posting some of my photos with my fiancรฉ .. I believe I should keep my love life private, (my Rule 101!! Hahaha) but  I feel like sharing it to you.WHY??๐Ÿ˜

Today marks our 42nd monthsary (Italy to Philippines time). ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘ซ.   Therefore,I want to share a few ” of our unforgettable  moments.. We aren’t like ordinary couples who can spend time together anytime they want…๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Let me start with the question:  HOW DID YOU MEET HIM?

ANSWER: In an ONLINE DATING website๐Ÿ˜‚

I have never ever dreamed of having a foreign partner. I was happy with my past relationships,however it didn’t last long. It wasn’t a happily ever after. ๐Ÿ˜‚ I recalled making a promise to myself that at the age of 30,I should be married or at least engaged to a Filipino. Fortunately, none of them came true .haha.๐Ÿ˜‚. A friend of mine told me I should try online dating.Perhaps, I was destined to be with a foreign partner.

June, 2013

One night, I started creating  an account in an online website. Writing who I want to meet and the qualities I like in a person,the age bracket etc .It was quite interesting at first.You get to know several men from different countries. You get to know their perspective of women, their ideas about relationships etc. Well, of course some of them were only playing around looking for some hook ups. (if you know what I mean)๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ™„

During my 4 month in that dating site, I met two good men. One was a single Canadian businessman who was still in love with his ex but hoping to find someone who’d changed his heart. Lol. And That wasn’t me. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ The second was an Australian divorced man and a father of 3 kids, who usually meet his ex-wife (to visit the children ). And he wasn’t the one  for me as well.

Tiring and costly.  Yes, internet cost in the Philippines  and time difference made me stop checking my account for a month. Believing that MR. RIGHT will come to me at the right time. ๐Ÿ˜

It was December,after my work shift,  I opened  my account again.So many messages in my inbox from different men. I checked all of them,but one message really caught my attention. A message from this innocent looking  man stopped me from scrolling. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ “Hi, you look cute in your photo, I like to know you more “.(my profile photo was of course way too good!LOL!! It was a selfie taken at the pantry in our office๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜Ž)

The message was very simple, yet it made me smile. I checked his profile. He is single which even made me reply to his message.Excited as I was, yet I kept my composure.As a Filipina, we have to remain conservative (in some cases!! ๐Ÿ˜‚ ).
And happier days started. We sent messages everyday. He was very consistent. We had our fist Skype video call a week after exchanging messages. We talked in skype without me bothering that it was already late, like 2am in Italy, yet he didn’t  complain.๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น

It was him who first confessed, he liked me and wanted to get to know me better. I asked him to download viber so we can chat regularly.I was supposed to play “hard to get” but I felt his sincerity, and without any hesitation, i told him I’m giving him a chance.“WHY NOT? ” When both your mind and heart says “TAKE A RISK “.๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜

It was March 2014, when he sent me a  screenshot of his plane ticket. I was in tears. I didn’t know why. I just felt my heart was pounding . There were a lot of things in my mind. This is it. There was no way I’m backing out.๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜

Hence, I finally met him, June 2014. The moment I /We had been waiting for. At that very moment, my happy life became even happier. ๐Ÿ˜โค๏ธ๐Ÿ‘ซ

He made this out of the water in our plunge. How sweet.. ๐Ÿ˜
…..to be continued ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

Would you dine in!? ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ™€

It was last year during our Boracay vacation where I finally I had chance to, not just take some photos but dined in as well in this controversial restaurant. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค“

It is the first toilet restaurant in the Philippines. It was inspired by the ownerโ€™s first-hand experience at the Modern Toilet restaurant in Taipei.

~~~~THE PLACE~~~~~~
The toilet bowl served as seat for customers  dining in. ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜œ
The colorful seat covers  served as a decoration added a “summer getaway” effect
Isn’t it a good dining set? ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
~~~THE MENU ~~~~ ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜‚

(sorry for the poor photo quality )
~~~WHAT WE ORDERED ~~~~
Since we arrived there around 5pm, it was still too early for dinner, we just ordered few dishes.
Buon Appetito.!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜ณ
Ordered the iced-tea. The urinal-shaped glass, surely quenched your thirst.๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚
~~~OUR PHOTOS ~~~

My mom and niece were all “what’s this?  and that!! ” haha.I saw how amused they were looking at the food being served.Nevertheless,  I was glad they were satisfied with the food.

~~~~~~VERDICT & TIPS~~~~~~~~
** The food was actually good. We loved the taste of Inihaw na Liem-poOp
** food is pricey but knowing that you are in Boracay expect to pay more.
** visit the place around 4-6 pm so you can take better photos for there are few guests those times.
~~~HOW TO GO TO BORACAY TOILET RESTAURANT  : ~~~~~~~~

**Located in Balabag Plaza, Station 1, 5608 Boracay (near the Holy Rosary Parish Church) .A tricycle is a good choice. Just tell the driver about it.

~~ ciao~~

Weekly Photo Challenge: Focusย

 Anyone can shoot chaos, but the most perceptive photographers  can make compelling pictures out of  uninteresting moments. ~~ Alex Tehrani

This week’s theme FOCUS  gives everybody a chance to showcase their talent / passion through photography. I should say, I have this excitement to take as many photos as I could, of anything which captures my attention,however I hadn’t had that dedication to become a passionate photographer.

As time goes by, while I travel to different places, I found myself clicking my camera. Focusing on different things which gives me a different perspective of how marvelous little things around me exist.It may looked ordinary for others but it gave me a feeling of contentment.

Most of the photos shown below were captured quite a distance away. I love exploring what my camera can do. I love to capture every single detail of my subject. Each detail described how I wanted to make my own path through whatever /wherever and whoever I am with. I focus not just on one thing but everything which contributes the whole subject.

I will not stop dreaming. I’m gonna focus on making my dreams a reality.

Travel and learn ๐Ÿ‘

People have many reasons to travel. Some just want to see what the place has to offer,some want to escape from reality, unwind from a hectic schedule while others want to tick their bucket lists,  etc.

As I started my blog, I get to realize  that I don’t just travel to see beautiful things, I wanted more. Something which is unforgettable and worth sharing. I became very inquisitive about things.  I learnt to appreciate  a simple gesture  or  little details about this and that.

So today, I wanted to show you some of the things which amused me or shall I say the things which I learned during my first and second time in Thailand.

Please bear in mind that these are based in my experience ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘โœŒ

~~~~THE MAIL BOXES ~~~~
I didn’t expect to see a lot of mail boxes in Thailand despite the advancement  of technology. Nowadays, people can easily send messages in a single click, anywhere in the world anytime of the day as long as they are connected to the internet .It amazes me and I admire how they kept this  up until now.
๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•๐Ÿš•
TAXI PLEASE.
Wait!. This isn’t a taxi. But in Ko Lipe, locals call this “taxi” with numbers in it. In my country, we call it “tricycle or trike ”
Of course it is different  in Bangkok and Phuket or Pattaya. They have the “regular taxi ” the one we know.  You can also see “tuk-tuk”.I had ridden one when I was in Pattaya.
๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’๐Ÿ†’
CURIOUS ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜
We also have seven eleven in my country but what surprised  me during my first visit was seeing the weighing scale outside most seven eleven convenience store.   ๐Ÿ˜ So from time to time I knew I have gained a kilo or more during the length of my stay. ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿท๐Ÿฝ Thai food is undeniably  delicious.
You just need to insert 1Baht and that’s it. Have you tried it? Does your country’s seven eleven has it too?
๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ๐Ÿ“ฒ
NEED WIFI?
No problem in Thailand. I’ve noticed that some of the restaurants even the small ones have wifi. And guess what?? You don’t need to ask the staff about their passwords because some of them are already on your table.
So,if you are planning to go there, check the menu, tissue box, toothpick kit, or the edge of the table..๐Ÿ˜‚
๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ
WANT A DRINK?
A bucket of beer perhaps?  ๐Ÿ˜‚ Like literally a bucket or a pail of beer. Had this one in Khao San Road. It’s strange to drink beer from a straw but it was a new thing for me. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘
My camera shy fiancรฉ, often avoiding the camera. Haha
What other things have you learned  from your travels?  ๐Ÿค—
A Little ย Paradise on Earth: Ko Lipe โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒŽ
Travel Time: February 7-11,2017
The tan will fade,but memories stay forever……
Koh Lipe is an island paradise in the South Andaman Sea, famous for it’s white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters. It is also known as the Maldives of Thailand. It is claimed to have crystal clear water and shiny white sand beach. Besides, it is one of the nearest island of Thailand to Malaysia.
There are three beaches in Koh Lipe: the most popular is the Pattaya Beach where the boat docks, next is the Sunrise Beach,where you can see a beautiful view of sunrise  and the last one Sunset Beach.
While approaching the island, you can really see the white sand and azure water while you are in the speedboat. The speedboat stopped in a shallow area,so expect your feet to be wet.The sand is white, the sea is turquoise and crystal clear and the edges of the beaches are full of luscious greenery.
Our Thai friend registered our names .We found the taxi going to our resort.I was surprised of their taxi.Check the photo below..
Going to our hotel was confusing.LOL,the driver didn’t actually followed the wider path and went to a narrow man made path which could be the short cut to our resort.We stayed in Ko Lipe Resort .Click this link to know more about the resort:
https://sofeetravels.wordpress.com/2017/03/15/ko-lipe-beach-resort/
 WHERE TO GO /WHAT TO DO IN KO LIPE
1.GO TO THE WALKING STREET
Walking Street located at Pattaya Beach, where visitors can shop, eat and have a bottle of beer. The place also has like a mini cinema, I saw two restaurants which played movies and customers were lying on a comfortable couch.However, almost all shops close at 12am.
Food wouldn’t be a problem here. There are a wide array of restaurants to choose from.
We spent most of our nights at the bar by the beach. Chilling while having some fun conversation…
2. HAVE FUN UNDER THE SUN
We spent most of our time here relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea and walking along the shore. It seemed like you owned a private island and people don’t mind you at all.
I don’t mind getting tan here.. ๐Ÿ‘™๐Ÿ’‹
These things around me while I was enjoying the wonderful โ˜€๏ธ
3.GO ISLAND HOPPING
My Thai  friend contacted the locals near our resort for an afternoon island tour. The boat was all for us. It made me laugh because when they knew that I am a Filipina, they were telling me about “Pacquio” ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค—
Leaving the island gave me a wider view of the shoreline. This spectacular view!!!
The views farther from Ko Lipe
Our boat tour had several stopped in several small islets, usually for snorkeling. I was really afraid this time because the fishes were clearly visible from the boat, and i felt like the current was pulling me. ๐Ÿ˜‚  yet it didn’t hinder me from taking a dip
This is our next stop. It is a small islet basically with stones almost covering the place. I enjoyed looking at the stones and cheking the traces of nature on them
Hello.. Welcome to this place
On our way to our next islet we passed  by this area where most of those people who were on the water were Chinese. They seemed of be enjoying the water. It looked so deep. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
I really like Thailand’s tail boat
We stayed longer in this islet. The crystal clear  waters in this beautiful place were all inviting.
There is a small store selling some snacks and refreshments. Be careful of ๐Ÿ’ ๐Ÿ’
Stalking my friends.๐Ÿ˜œ
My man took this photo without even counting 1,2,3
Indeed a worthwhile  tour. Felt my whole body  burning. โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
HOW TO GO TO KO LIPE
๐Ÿ‘‰My point of origin is Phuket
~~ book a plane ticket to Hat Yai
~~ from the airport you can take a taxi going to the Pak Barra port. (As for our case ,we left our luggage in my friends’ house ). It took us about 2 hours to get to the port.
~~ buy your round trip ferry  ticket there. As for us we purchased our ticket in the office found in the port.
~~The speedboat trip is about an hour and a half or two .Expect a bumpy/rough ride..
** I couldn’t get the expenses for this trip again. My apologies **
Have fun!! Ciao …๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ‘ฃ
