Does the photo looks familiar? Yes! You are right. Probably many of you have seen this wonderful creation and for those who still don’t know about this place, let me introduce THE CHOCOLATE HILLS in BOHOL.The Chocolate Hills are probably Bohol’s most famous tourist attraction. They look like giant mole hills, or some say they are like HERSHEY’S KISSES. 💋🍫
This week’s theme is Delta,so this is a perfect interpretation of transition or change in time. I have chosen to share this place due to the fact that I have visited here three times. Of those three times, I’ve seen how these hills changes from hills totally covered with green lush of grass and trees.
During summer months where the weather in my country is so perfect for sight seeing, the hills turned from green to brown.
I have witnessed this transient natural occurrence in a seafood restaurant in Krabi town.
The photo shows apuffer fish/ blowfish 🐡 in it’s full puff up state. When being triggered, in danger or when they are threatened, they can take in so much air inside their stomachs that they bloat and turn into large, perfect balls. This makes them look harder to eat. Also, some puffer fish have spines and when they puff up, these spines stick out like needles.
I’ve seen how it deflates beautifully , doing continuous turns while their body was slowly going back to its regular size.
In a world full of chaos, remember that some things are transient.For some reasons, they appear or can happen in a blink of an eye and it is during tough situations that we need to be strong. “Survival of the fittest “ as they say.

I have been mentioning and posting some of my photos with my fiancé .. I believe I should keep my love life private, (my Rule 101!! Hahaha) but I feel like sharing it to you.WHY??😁
Today marks our 42nd monthsary (Italy to Philippines time). 👏😍👫. Therefore,I want to share “a few” of our unforgettable moments.. We aren’t like ordinary couples who can spend time together anytime they want…😟😏😐
Let me start with the question: HOW DID YOU MEET HIM?
ANSWER: In an ONLINE DATING website😂
I have never ever dreamed of having a foreign partner. I was happy with my past relationships,however it didn’t last long. It wasn’t a happily ever after. 😂 I recalled making a promise to myself that at the age of 30,I should be married or at least engaged to a Filipino. Fortunately, none of them came true .haha.😂. A friend of mine told me I should try online dating.Perhaps, I was destined to be with a foreign partner.
One night, I started creating an account in an online website. Writing who I want to meet and the qualities I like in a person,the age bracket etc .It was quite interesting at first.You get to know several men from different countries. You get to know their perspective of women, their ideas about relationships etc. Well, of course some of them were only playing around looking for some hook ups. (if you know what I mean)🤔🙄
During my 4 month in that dating site, I met two good men. One was a single Canadian businessman who was still in love with his ex but hoping to find someone who’d changed his heart. Lol. And That wasn’t me. 😂😂😂 The second was an Australian divorced man and a father of 3 kids, who usually meet his ex-wife (to visit the children ). And he wasn’t the one for me as well.
Tiring and costly. Yes, internet cost in the Philippines and time difference made me stop checking my account for a month. Believing that MR. RIGHTwill come to me at the right time. 😍
It was December,after my work shift, I opened my account again.So many messages in my inbox from different men. I checked all of them,but one message really caught my attention. A message from this innocent looking man stopped me from scrolling. 😬 “Hi, you look cute in your photo, I like to know you more “.(my profile photo was of course way too good!LOL!! It was a selfie taken at the pantry in our office😂😎)
The message was very simple, yet it made me smile. I checked his profile. He is single which even made me reply to his message.Excited as I was, yet I kept my composure.As a Filipina, we have to remain conservative (in some cases!! 😂 ).
And happier days started. We sent messages everyday. He was very consistent. We had our fist Skype video call a week after exchanging messages. We talked in skype without me bothering that it was already late, like 2am in Italy, yet he didn’t complain.🇮🇹
It was him who first confessed, he liked me and wanted to get to know me better. I asked him to download viber so we can chat regularly.I was supposed to play “hard to get” but I felt his sincerity, and without any hesitation, i told him I’m giving him a chance.“WHY NOT? ” When both your mind and heart says “TAKE A RISK “.😂😘😍
It was March 2014, when he sent me a screenshot of his plane ticket. I was in tears. I didn’t know why. I just felt my heart was pounding . There were a lot of things in my mind. This is it. There was no way I’m backing out.😎😝
Hence, I finally met him, June 2014. The moment I /We had been waiting for. At that very moment, my happy life became even happier. 😁❤️👫

This week’s theme FOCUS gives everybody a chance to showcase their talent / passion through photography. I should say, I have this excitement to take as many photos as I could, of anything which captures my attention,however I hadn’t had that dedication to become a passionate photographer.
As time goes by, while I travel to different places, I found myself clicking my camera. Focusing on different things which gives me a different perspective of how marvelous little things around me exist.It may looked ordinary for others but it gave me a feeling of contentment.
Most of the photos shown below were captured quite a distance away. I love exploring what my camera can do. I love to capture every single detail of my subject. Each detail described how I wanted to make my own path through whatever /wherever and whoever I am with. I focus not just on one thing but everything which contributes the whole subject.
I will not stop dreaming. I’m gonna focus on making my dreams a reality.
People have many reasons to travel. Some just want to see what the place has to offer,some want to escape from reality, unwind from a hectic schedule while others want to tick their bucket lists, etc.
As I started my blog, I get to realize that I don’t just travel to see beautiful things, I wanted more. Something which is unforgettable and worth sharing. I became very inquisitive about things. I learnt to appreciate a simple gesture or little details about this and that.
So today, I wanted to show you some of the things which amused me or shall I say the things which I learned during my first and second time in Thailand.
Please bear in mind that these are based in my experience 😇👍✌
~~~~THE MAIL BOXES ~~~~
I didn’t expect to see a lot of mail boxes in Thailand despite the advancement of technology. Nowadays, people can easily send messages in a single click, anywhere in the world anytime of the day as long as they are connected to the internet .It amazes me and I admire how they kept this up until now.
Wait!. This isn’t a taxi. But in Ko Lipe, locals call this “taxi” with numbers in it. In my country, we call it “tricycle or trike ”
Of course it is different in Bangkok and Phuket or Pattaya. They have the “regular taxi ” the one we know. You can also see “tuk-tuk”.I had ridden one when I was in Pattaya.
CURIOUS ABOUT YOUR WEIGHT? 🤔😐
We also have seven eleven in my country but what surprised me during my first visit was seeing the weighing scale outside most seven eleven convenience store. 😁 So from time to time I knew I have gained a kilo or more during the length of my stay. 🤗🐷🐽 Thai food is undeniably delicious.
You just need to insert 1Baht and that’s it. Have you tried it? Does your country’s seven eleven has it too?
No problem in Thailand. I’ve noticed that some of the restaurants even the small ones have wifi. And guess what?? You don’t need to ask the staff about their passwords because some of them are already on your table.
So,if you are planning to go there, check the menu, tissue box, toothpick kit, or the edge of the table..😂
WANT A DRINK?
A bucket of beer perhaps? 😂 Like literally a bucket or a pail of beer. Had this one in Khao San Road. It’s strange to drink beer from a straw but it was a new thing for me. 😂👍
What other things have you learned from your travels? 🤗
Koh Lipe is an island paradise in the South Andaman Sea, famous for it’s white sandy beaches and turquoise blue waters. It is also known as the “Maldives of Thailand“. It is claimed to have crystal clear water and shiny white sand beach. Besides, it is one of the nearest island of Thailand to Malaysia.
There are three beaches in Koh Lipe: the most popular is the Pattaya Beach where the boat docks, next is the Sunrise Beach,where you can see a beautiful view of sunrise and the last one Sunset Beach.
While approaching the island, you can really see the white sand and azure water while you are in the speedboat. The speedboat stopped in a shallow area,so expect your feet to be wet.The sand is white, the sea is turquoise and crystal clear and the edges of the beaches are full of luscious greenery.
Our Thai friend registered our names .We found the taxi going to our resort.I was surprised of their taxi.Check the photo below..
Walking Street located at Pattaya Beach, where visitors can shop, eat and have a bottle of beer. The place also has like a mini cinema, I saw two restaurants which played movies and customers were lying on a comfortable couch.However, almost all shops close at 12am.
Food wouldn’t be a problem here. There are a wide array of restaurants to choose from.
We spent most of our nights at the bar by the beach. Chilling while having some fun conversation…
2. HAVE FUN UNDER THE SUN
We spent most of our time here relaxing on the beach, swimming in the sea and walking along the shore. It seemed like you owned a private island and people don’t mind you at all.
3.GO ISLAND HOPPING
My Thai friend contacted the locals near our resort for an afternoon island tour. The boat was all for us. It made me laugh because when they knew that I am a Filipina, they were telling me about “Pacquio” 😂🤗
Leaving the island gave me a wider view of the shoreline. This spectacular view!!!
The views farther from Ko Lipe
Our boat tour had several stopped in several small islets, usually for snorkeling. I was really afraid this time because the fishes were clearly visible from the boat, and i felt like the current was pulling me. 😂 yet it didn’t hinder me from taking a dip.
This is our next stop. It is a small islet basically with stones almost covering the place. I enjoyed looking at the stones and cheking the traces of nature on them
On our way to our next islet we passed by this area where most of those people who were on the water were Chinese. They seemed of be enjoying the water. It looked so deep. 😱😱
We stayed longer in this islet. The crystal clear waters in this beautiful place were all inviting.
There is a small store selling some snacks and refreshments. Be careful of 🐒 🐒
Indeed a worthwhile tour. Felt my whole body burning. ☀️😬😃
HOW TO GO TO KO LIPE
👉My point of origin is Phuket
~~ book a plane ticket to Hat Yai
~~ from the airport you can take a taxi going to the Pak Barra port. (As for our case ,we left our luggage in my friends’ house ). It took us about 2 hours to get to the port.
~~ buy your round trip ferry ticket there. As for us we purchased our ticket in the office found in the port.
~~The speedboat trip is about an hour and a half or two .Expect a bumpy/rough ride..
** I couldn’t get the expenses for this trip again. My apologies **
