I’m back Β : Thailand 2017

Travel time : January 31,2017

I finally have time to post my Thailand vacation now. I will be posting about Phuket again and Ko Lipe as well.

It was a beautiful day. I was having random thoughts while waiting for my flight to Bangkok. Excitement!!  Not only because I had the chance to visit Thailand again but because I would be seeing my fiancΓ© after 8 months of LDR (long distance relationship ).

While I was on board, I tried to take a nap because I was still exhausted from my previous trip in Baguio. I woke up and peep through the window. “I’m almost there”.I had a good sleep even for a short time. Definitely,it was a smooth flight  βœˆοΈ

Hello suv. πŸ˜‡

As I disembarked from the plane, most people were in a hurry to go to the immigration. Click this link for my first flight  :

I did a better view of the airport since I already knew that my fiance’s flight will be delayed for an hour. I wasn’t in a hurry after all.I was taking all my time.

Immigration queue was  more crowded now than before. I got my bag,headed to the departure & arrival schedule table in order to check which carousel my fiance’s  bags will be so I could just wait near there.

I checked the Doha – Bangkok flight. It was assigned on carousel 19. It was still in an idle mode. I was sitting  on a beach,and decided to walk around.

I checked the duty-free shop, just looking around. Unfortunately ,I didn’t have any baht with me. πŸ˜‚

I came back to the bench near the carousel and was checking my FB when a woman (English) asked my help on how she could connect to the internet. We had a chat,.I’m glad about that so I wasn’t really bored while waiting. She was also waiting for her friend.

After more or less two hours,the carousel showed DOHA (open) ,I knew then Quatar Airways had landed. 😍 I have imagined the possible minutes he’d be at the carousel. After like 20 minutes. I FOUND HIM. 😍 πŸ‘«

I was the happiest and my English friend even was so happy for me when I told him my man is there already. I said goodbye and approached them ( my bf, his friend and his friend’s wife) right away.
We had to check in to another flight bound to phuket.After checking in we’ve decided to eat something first.

My man, choosing our food. 😍

Phuket bound. πŸ˜πŸ˜ƒ

To be continued…

I’ll be posting the Phuket trip soon. This time I will be showing more things to see in Phuket.

The Weekly Photo Challenge: Β EvanescentΒ

“Evanescent = soon passing out of sight, memory, or existence; quickly fading or disappearing.”

This sight of a monkey 🐡  striding  gracefully left me in awe. Surprised ,I could only capture one good photo of it as it followed its caretaker into a hut swiftly.
Before that moment, the monkey was resting comfortably on its owners lap holding an apple.

That instant moment came as a realization  that some of the best moments in life happen unexpectedly. Those moments deserved to be kept forever.πŸ†’πŸ˜ You have to be always ready whatever surprises come along. β˜ΊοΈπŸ€—πŸ‘

Planning for el nido trip?

P. S Originally posted this last year after my El nido trip.

For those who are planning to go to El nido. Here are the tips I can give you based on my experience..✌

~~~ I suggest booking a van ahead because it’s hassle free.Although there are vans available at the airport in Puerto Princesa.
~~~ If you are on  a tight budget, bring some food and water..ohhhh not some but a lot!!! haha.. It’s more fun traveling when you can just grab a bite anytime you want.

~~~During Island hopping.  Bring waterproof camera,or waterproof case for your gadgets since most of the time you really have to get off the boat to swim or snorkle.
~~~Take with you some medicines, spf lotion and swimming attire,but eventually you can just buy all of those in El nido town.

~~~ If you have ample time, try two island hopping packages.
*** If there are other tips you can share,mind  commenting  below..**
~~~Ciao ~~πŸ’‹

Weekly Photo Challenge: Heritage

Part of traveling is learning something. Sometimes, while I am on a trip in a famous historical place, I couldn’t help but recall what I’ve learnt in my History subject when I was still a student. For all you know, my country, The Philippines has a colorful history.

One of the most “talk of the town” lately this year was about the late President Marcos. I am not gonna be telling everything  about history. I’m pretty sure some of you know who President Marcos was.

During my Ilocos trip last 2016, I had the oppurtunity to visit the Marcos Museum. From there , you can see many memorabilia about him. His childhood, highschool life, college life and even his love life. In addition, the different events during his term. All of those things are part of who I am as a Filipino ,whether it brought sorrow or pain. Whether others think he is a hero or not.

His remains was kept inside a fully guarded place.I was able to see it. We were not allowed to take photos as well. In my mind I thought “so this is you”.Random thoughts came all of a sudden and then I thought “it is all history now”.

As of this writing President  Marco’s remains can be found in the “Libingan ng mga Bayani” .

Burrows unlimited chicken πŸ”Β

Yesterday, my workmates and I had our dinner in a chicken restaurant in Lahug. Why had we chosen this place?  For two  reasons : UNLIMITED CHICKEN & RICE!!! πŸ˜‚πŸ‘πŸ‘βœŒ

We were actually choosing some restaurants which offers unlimited rice. πŸ˜†It was agreed that our dinner will be in BURROWS.  The restuarant offers a cheaper price for each person for unlimited chicken.πŸ˜‡

(the two photos were grabbed from goggle )

While waiting for our chicken, my workmates and I were giving our opinion about the place.

the ceiling is too high,

 the paint is black which makes the place looks darker, however the place became cozy around 7pm

The space inside is small. ✌

And then the chicken came. Wow!! Two plates of chicken cooked differently. Looking at the food made me really hungry. I tasted everything from the chili flavored wings to the classic one.   πŸ˜¬πŸ˜„

I was so full. I didn’t know how many pieces of chicken I had eaten. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I think the price was really worth it.

The place is really recommended  for people who have bigger appetite. Although you can also choose regular orders.

~~~~TIPS & HOW TO GO THERE~~~~~~~
***Prepare to spend: php 199 on Unlimited Chicken Wings & Rice + php 40 Unlimited Iced Tea + php 10/dip (Important reminder: left-over/take-out is at php20/piece).
*** Ride 04c or 17c jeepneys bound to LAHUG. The place is located at Tsai Hotel and Residences on the way to Camp Lapu-Lapu in Lahug), .It is also near Pino Restaurant.
That’s all for now.  I won’t eat chicken for a week. LOL πŸ”πŸ—πŸ—πŸ˜‚
The Weekly Photo Challenge: Reflecting
This week’s theme is REFLECTING. Here’s my entry…
The picture perhaps isn’t perfect, however I love the tranquility this picture depicts.  πŸ˜‡
Isn’t it a good place to have some reflection over some unfortunate  situations in life? This place is probably a suitable place to just think about nothing. No worries, just happy thought. πŸ˜ŠπŸ€—
Campuestuhan highland resort
Travel date:  April 19,2017
Campuestuhan became one of my bucket lists  due to that huge figure of  “KING KONG” haha πŸ˜‚. Isn’t it hilarious?  I’ve seen those movies of course,and one thing I knew, I just wanna be held in Kong’s palm. LOL.
It was around 1pm when we went to the Burgos terminal by “sikad” or a passenger bicycle. Burgos market was so near our dorm. We hurriedly looked for a jeepney with the ALANGILAN signboard. Unfortunately,we had to wait for  some more passengers. After about 20 minutes, we were finally off to our destination.🚎
While looking out the window,I felt cool air brushed through my face although it was a really hot day. 🌞The view of the mountain ranges from a distance was captivating.
The ride took around 20-30 minutes. We finally arrived at a terminal and luckily, a trike was available moreover there were other passengers who were on their way to Campuestuhan as well.
This sign made my heart β™₯️  fluttered . 😁
We paid the entrance fee right away and  started the tour.
Let these pictures show you around the place..πŸ“±πŸ“·
Next stop.
The Indian Village where some rooms are designed like that of an Indian inspired hut.
My favorite part was to met the King…LOL
Since a lot of people would love to have Kong’s photo the management was keen enough to put this up.πŸ‘βœŒ
More fun photos…..
They also have a wave pool area.
I saw some kids carrying a huge cotton candy 😍😍.I quickly bought one.haha
And because it was so hot, a gelato was a perfect treat. 🍦🍦
We continued exploring the place. An hour or two  isn’t enough here.
So what’s these sharks? πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ³πŸ³
There are more…
Children will really enjoy this place. They also have some rope activities for those who want to sweat it out. πŸ˜…
Before we went home, this scene caught my attention so I quickly grabbed my camera.We couldn’t do the sky bike ride because we were in a hurry to go home since it was almost dark.
All in all it was a good experience.
Jeepney to Alangilan.           =     20php
Tricycle to campuestuhan =100 one way..
Campuestuhan entrance.  –150
