Travel time: November 2015
This post is all about what I did in Phuket during my first visit.Known for it’s beaches, water activity and excellent nightlife . One of my buckletlist is the Big Buddha .Phuket is one of the most popular tourists destinations in the world..So I was very excited to have known that it’s part of our itinerary..It was my first time, and many times for my bf and his friends. 😍
We went to Phuket by plane.Actually you can also take the train or bus but it would definitely take long travel hours. So we opted for the plane. We departed from Don Mueang Airport. It is smaller than Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.
ON BOARD…from Bangkok to Phuket
Arriving in Phuket ...
We arrived in Phuket around noon time. There are some stall which offers transportation to different areas in Phuket . We took the van and checked in to our hotel right away. My thai friend arranged our accommodation since she knew the hotel staffs. We had our lunch in a typical thai restaurant.
THINGS I DID IN PHUKET :
1— BEACH HOPPING
So we decided to wait for the sunset while waiting for dinner time..There were few people maybe because it’s cool already. It’s a good place to relax and just chit-chat with friends or couple..😂😂
I think this beach is more romantic than Patong..
2—NIGHTLIFE BE LIKE….
I was a little bit shocked of what I saw but I definitely enjoyed and learned something..For a first timer, I was all curious over a lot of things. Thanks to my bf who was always there and answered the questions I had in mind..
3. VISIT THE BIG BUDDHA
Phuket’s Big Buddha is one of the island’s most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, it is easily seen from far away.
Please observe proper dress code.
4. FEED THE ELEPHANTS
On our way the Big Buddha we happen to passed by an area where people feed elephants 🐘. So on our way back I told my bf I want to feed them too. He was with pleasure fulfilled my request.🤗😍
5. EAT! EAT! EAT!!!
6. JOINED THE FESTIVAL ( Loy Krathong )
Loy Krathong is a festival celebrated annually throughout southwestern Tai cultures, (Thailand, Laos, Shan, Tanintharyi, Kelantan, Kedah and Xishuangbanna). The name could be translated as “to float a basket”, and comes from the tradition of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river. ~~wikipedia
7. Visit Jungceylon
The famous mall in Phuket. There are also a lot of restaurants in the area. From coffee shops to different kinds of restaurants. 🤗
A night stroll at the mall. 😇
