On our second day,we started our tour earlier so that we can have ample time visiting the places..Our first stop is Poda Island
If I could only swim well I would have swam and enjoyed the place more.. T.T
Since we arrived in Ao Nang around lunch time, after checking in,we decided to look around the place and explore the different islets that they have..Our first destination was Railay..
After paying, we proceeded to our assigned boat..
This is a good place to relax..
I had a great time getting tan, without getting my body soaked in the sea..(lol)
After exploring some islands in Ao Nang Krabi, my friends decided to visit the town instead. We rented a motorbike and drove around 30 minutes..We decide to stop at the floating restaurant (that structure with a roof )..
While walking towards the restaurant few men approached us and said something in Thai,(but i didn’t mind,,haha) .My Thai friend Ann,told us that a boat can take us for an hour tour and pay some baht and we decided to try after lunch.
I was excited because I thought I would see some crocodile or monkeys…but it was just nature…beautiful and very calm..
Thankful for this chance…
After a few minutes checking the cave ,our boat proceeded to the other side..
Well,we were satisfied with the view..
Thank you for the experience Krabi.. 🙂
Travel time: November 2015
This post is all about what I did in Phuket during my first visit.Known for it’s beaches, water activity and excellent nightlife . One of my buckletlist is the Big Buddha .Phuket is one of the most popular tourists destinations in the world..So I was very excited to have known that it’s part of our itinerary..It was my first time, and many times for my bf and his friends. 😍
We went to Phuket by plane.Actually you can also take the train or bus but it would definitely take long travel hours. So we opted for the plane. We departed from Don Mueang Airport. It is smaller than Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.
ON BOARD…from Bangkok to Phuket
Arriving in Phuket ...
We arrived in Phuket around noon time. There are some stall which offers transportation to different areas in Phuket . We took the van and checked in to our hotel right away. My thai friend arranged our accommodation since she knew the hotel staffs. We had our lunch in a typical thai restaurant.
THINGS I DID IN PHUKET :
1— BEACH HOPPING
So we decided to wait for the sunset while waiting for dinner time..There were few people maybe because it’s cool already. It’s a good place to relax and just chit-chat with friends or couple..😂😂
I think this beach is more romantic than Patong..
2—NIGHTLIFE BE LIKE….
I was a little bit shocked of what I saw but I definitely enjoyed and learned something..For a first timer, I was all curious over a lot of things. Thanks to my bf who was always there and answered the questions I had in mind..
3. VISIT THE BIG BUDDHA
Phuket’s Big Buddha is one of the island’s most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, it is easily seen from far away.
Please observe proper dress code.
4. FEED THE ELEPHANTS
On our way the Big Buddha we happen to passed by an area where people feed elephants 🐘. So on our way back I told my bf I want to feed them too. He was with pleasure fulfilled my request.🤗😍
5. EAT! EAT! EAT!!!
6. JOINED THE FESTIVAL ( Loy Krathong )
Loy Krathong is a festival celebrated annually throughout southwestern Tai cultures, (Thailand, Laos, Shan, Tanintharyi, Kelantan, Kedah and Xishuangbanna). The name could be translated as “to float a basket”, and comes from the tradition of making krathong or buoyant, decorated baskets, which are then floated on a river. ~~wikipedia
7. Visit Jungceylon
The famous mall in Phuket. There are also a lot of restaurants in the area. From coffee shops to different kinds of restaurants. 🤗
A night stroll at the mall. 😇
I really had a wonderful time.I still want to visit Phuket again and by that time..I’m gonna be bringing party shoes!!hahaha
Travel Period .. (november 19-22 )
The long wait was finally over..Hello Thailand and Hello Amore Mio..
It was such an unfortunate departure date due to APEC.My flight from Manila to BKK had been re scheduled several times due to airplane availability. So I had no choice but accepted PAL’s flight schedule.
It took about 4 hours from Philippines to Thailand. I couldn’t contain the excitement. My heart was beating like a drum!! hahaha..I just followed the crowd because I knew for sure they were going to the passport control. When I had my turn,It was smooth,no questions asked and I hurriedly waited for my luggage at the baggage claim.I went outside and found my bf waiting for me..(lalala)
We took a taxi going to our hotel.Funny because the driver talked to me in Thai..haha..Perhaps because of my tan skin..I wasn’t sure how far our hotel was from the airport because my eyes were busy looking around every wonderful night lights we passed by. My bf booked this hotel : http://www.fourpointsbangkoksukhumvit.com/
The next day..We visited some temples.. Finally time to tick my bucketlist ( The Reclining Buddha) ✔️
There are many temples in Thailand and since I already read some blogs about visiting temples in Bangkok,I already knew what outfit I should wear.
THINGS I DID IN BANGKOK.
1. Visit Temple of Dawn (Wat Arun )
2. have fun in Khao San Road —–
This is really a good place to party..I mean, you can see people of different races having so much fun, dancing, drinking ,making friends, get wasted (lol )..
Outside the mall, there was an exhibition. It was all about dinosaurs. We went inside and saw different kinds of replica in different sizes. Kids had a really awesome time there.
P. S : I apologize I cannot give you details about the expenses and a detailed iterinary because my man paid and planned everything. It was hard to convert Baht all the time. 😬 and I was only thinking about fun. Haha
However, I can give you a few tips:
1. Dress properly when visiting the temples.Wear something decent.
I will be updating this blog to include some other temples and other things I did in Bangkok..
The famous windmill in Pagudpud has been one of the reasons why i travelled there..I envy some friends photos with the windmill in the background..Now i already have that gorgeous pic..
Our guide mentioned how the province managed the windmills but due to my excitement,it slipped my mind.. Enjoy the pictures
The waiting was over when our tour bus came. The bus was so comfortable and clean. We met the tour guide at SM MOA SMX together with the other travelers. The bus left the city around 9pm..I already knew that it would be a long drive so we just slept.. Around 5am I could see vast land..It wasn’t that clear though but when the sun starts to rise I woke my sister up and told her “I guess we are here”..
We didn’t have enough time to take a bath (lol..because the tour started right away after breakfast )..Here’s the list of the places that we visited during our DAY 1 TOUR.
—Marcos Musoleum ,Paoay Church ,Malacanang of the North ,Paoay Lake ,Sta. Monica (Sarrat) Church ,Sinking Bell Tower ,Aurora Park ,Ilocos Norte Capitol,St.William’s Cathedral and lastly my wishlist the La Paz Sand Dunes..
